The vast majority of tires today have a puncture-resistant insert, some with a thicker layer than others. There are bicycle tires for everything from children's bikes and city bikes to mountain bikes and racing bikes from several of the major bicycle tire manufacturers such as Schwalbe, Panaracer, Vittoria and Continental. One of the most important things to consider when choosing bike tires for your mountain bike is the different tire types. You can get tire types with good grip but at the expense of speed - and vice versa. All of our mountain bike tires have a high TPI value which means they are usable on almost any terrain.
Find a pump that fits the tire's valve. (racing, dunlop or auto valve) Unscrew the dust cap from the valve, attach the pump head (lock it if necessary) and pump until your tire has the correct pressure. If you are using a racing valve, lift the valve slightly before pumping.
You can see the correct number of bars on the side of your tire.
Check the recommended inflation pressure on the side of your bike tire. With a pump with a pressure gauge, you can always see if you have the correct amount of air in your bike tires.
The five digits on the tire are ETRTO measurements. The first two digits are the width of the tire in mm and the last three are the diameter of the tire in mm. In addition, the recommended tire pressure is written on the side of the tire.
Studless tires have a puncture-resistant layer between the surface of the tire and the inner tube. This keeps sharp objects from getting to the tube and puncturing it.
You can either patch your bike with patches and glue from a patch kit, or you can change the tube and avoid patching it. You are also welcome to contact our bike repair shop and we will help you.
Modern bike tires have an ETRTO rating engraved on the sidewall, which is the best way to find your new tire.
