Leatt is an award-winning company whose sole purpose is to keep your body safe in extreme sports.
In 2001, Chris Leatt's son started cycling and just a few weeks later one of his son's friends on the cycling team died. Immediately, Chris Leatt began developing a neck protector that would prevent more tragic accidents like the one he had witnessed. In 2004, the first neck protector was released in South Africa and quickly became a hit. In 2009, Leatt expanded the range to include protective vests and protection for the head, arms and legs.
Protection for professionals and amateurs
Today, Leatt is able to create products that provide optimal protection without compromising the rider's ability to perform and execute their stunts. Rider Ryan Dungey won the 2010 Downhill World Championships wearing a Leatt vest and the company hasn't looked back since. Today, Leatt is a must-have for riders, speed racers and other athletes where the upper body can be at risk. Today, Leatt is a highly respected brand in most circles, producing products for motorcyclists, moped riders, cyclists and the entire skateboarding community.
